Great Poem
THE RISK OF INNOCENCE
By Dave Veerman
Tiny, helpless
swaddled in hay
washed, clothed, fed
carried each day
Poverty, heat
occupied land
Romans, cruel Herod
Palestine sand
Emptying self
and breaking through
with limits of flesh
temptations too
Humbling state
becoming man
descending, submitting
in divine plan
Now here I stay
hindered by fears
election, economy
noise in my ears
Afraid of the future,
old age, disease
of person or thing
threatening ease
No matter that
my neighbors slide
day after day
hurting inside
Or that poor and oppressed
desperately need
compassionate friend
and long to be freed
But I hold Good News,
in my comfort place,
of God’s visitation
mercy and grace
Lord give me strength
through trembling and tears
with numbered days
diminishing years
To move out in faith
reaching with love
sharing your truth
pointing above
Jesus you loved me
before I knew
giving your all
let me risk all for you!

Here is the answer:
Bring it this Sunday and place it in the plastic tub inside of E6 near the kitchen and we will get to the right people for distribution.

Update on the Ellisons
Jamie just received a phone call from Vandy Children’s Tuesday afternoon that Lyla had tested positive for Whooping Cough. I was mistaken about Lyla’s report about Whopping Cough.
Her test did not come back on Friday like I had originally thought. It came back today and Lyla does have Whopping Cough. Jamie is showing signs and has been told to get on antibiotics immediately. The doctor said that Jaida and Tori should be fine since they have already had their vaccine for it.
Please pray for Jamie and Lyla and I apologize for giving out the wrong info about the test.
Brand New Info
Just got the newest info on SOAR 09 and YEC up.
Update on Lyla
She had a good night from what I understand. We are hopeful that she will be discharged this afternoon. She was tested for Whopping Cough though and have not heard back from the Dr. yet.
Update on Lyla
03-Dec-08
Lyla’s fever is coming down with Tylenol. She is on IV antibiotics as well until the Spinal Tap culture comes back to make sure there’s not a bacterial infection of any kind.
She is having trouble breathing a little bit so she is going to have X-Ray’s taken of her lungs just make sure it’s nasal stuff and nothing else.
The doctor’s are in good spirits and dont; think it is anything serious. They just want to rule all things out and not have something sneak up on her.
Thank you for your prayers.
04-Dec-08
So far things are ok. The nurse came by a little while ago and heard something in Lyla’s lungs and went to get the Dr. I have not heard back yet but will keep everyone posted. Hopefully all is well and Jamie and Lyla will come home tomorrow.
Prayer for Lyla Ellison
Please pray for Lyla, Bro. Mark’s youngest daughter – 8 weeks old.
Lyla was a running at 100.8 fever early this morning. After talking with the on call nurse, it was stated that Lyla needed to be seen. So at 3AM Jamie and Lyla left for Vandy Children’s. Lyla is going to stay for 48 hours. The doctors don’t think it’s RSV but want to keep her to make sure.
Updates will be posted.
Prayer for Birthrong Family
Please pray for Mr. Jeff Birthrong and Chucky. Mr. Jeff’s mother died Monday morning and the funeral is today.
