Nan Update: One more day . . .
Dear Friends and Family,
This should be my last email for about 3 weeks, tomorrow Penny and I are moving to Kollo to live with our supervisors for 3 weeks of language training then we will be moving to our house in Molli. During that moving time we should be coming back to Niamey for a Zerma Team Meeting so I will be able to update you on everything that is going on then.
Until that time we pray that you are blessed and that you are faithfully remember us in your prayers. As the heat increases and new challenges face us everyday we are relying on God to help us focus one day at a time, remembering His mercies are new everymorning and His grace is sufficient for that days work. It’s interesting on how God was working in Penny’s and My life before we met. He’s been teaching us alot of the same lessons, so its been very encouraging to learn and walk with her as my team member, my sister and my friend. So here’s somethings we would like you to keep us lifted up about and please just continue to pray as the Spirit leads you, He knows our needs better than we do!
- For the Team- unity, heart and vision.
- For Language- that we would have rapid comprehension and usage.
- For Physical strength- that we would be protected from sickness and attacks
- For Spiritual strength- that we would work in all knowledge, discernment and boldness in proclaiming the Gospel
- For Mental strength- that we would continue to give our burdens to Christ that we would not become overwhelmed or discouraged or stressed.
- For Emotional strength- that we would not be concentrated on home, family, friends or significant others, that we would have peace knowing that He is taking care of them and He has a purpose for us here and now.
- Everyday- that we would pour our whole selves into the people, that we would have an overwhelming love for them and for each other. That we would not take more then one day at time.
- We’re believing and praying for a great church planting movement and are trusting that God is ready and willing to move, please pray against our flesh that as He uses us as vessels that we would not get prideful but we would know it is God who is moving, God has used other teams to plant and break up the ground for us to come and harvest. Everything that will happen is because of God’s goodness and grace not because we’re”good Christians” we are just the mere vessels. May God’s purposes be done through us and not by us.
I cannot thank you enough for being apart of this with us!! Like I’ve said before we love you all and want you to know that we do pray for you everyday!
