Back to school party Tuesday, Sept. 8

Tuesday, Sept. 8th, from 6:30-8:00PM, there will be a back to school party to welcome in the new year of AMPED.  From food, to live music, to games, and more, you surely will not want to miss out on this exciting evening.  All students currently in grades 6-12 are invited to attend and bring their friends.


AMPED T-Shirts Now on Sale

Attention all AMPED Leaders, Student Sunday School teachers, students, and parents: We are now taking orders for our AMPED T-Shirts now through Tuesday, Sept. 15.  T-shirts are $10 and available in sizes Adult S – Adult XXXL.  Ladies cut T-Shirts are also available. Please make checks out to FBCSB and give to either Bro. Mark or Anissa Coleman.  Please specify Name and Size (ex: ladies small) when ordering.


Talk back session with Adam Clemmons

Adam is part of the full-time staff at Casa Para Ninos. He will be speaking to the church body on Sunday, September 6. Following the PM service until 8:30PM, all students currently in grades 6-12 who would like to get to know Adam better and ask questions about his Ministry, Calling, and what God is doing in his life are invited to come for a pizza supper in NYFH. Please sign up at the Main Welcome Desk if you are coming. Parents are welcome to attend as well. Please contact Thom or Shawna Spigner with any questions.

The Summer Begins

It was sad to see this past Tuesday come to a close as our series finally for AMPED was aired. (like the pun – lol) We had a great night with a ton of laughs to be had. Pics will be up next week so check for them.

We are looking forward to the summer. Remember to pay your money for the June 20th trip to Nashville Rescue Mission and Nashville Shores by June 7 – it is 25$.

Also next week, downloadable versions of the summer calendars of June and July will be available as well.


AMPED for Tuesday, May 19

This coming Tuesday, May 19, is our last AMPED for the school year. We are ending on a high note! Please bring $5 for pizza and come enjoy a night fun and wackiness as we reveal the summer calendar and enjoy the night. Don’t forget to bring a friend or 50!


Tuesday May 19

Next Tuesday, May 19 will be our last AMPED for the school year. We will be wrapping up the year and releasing our summer schedule. You won’t want to miss it!


Great Night @ Cafe AMPED!

Cafe AMPED was a great night!  A massively HUGE thank you goes to all the adults for helping make it a great night and another HUGE thank you goes to all of the students who came and had an awesome time.

Here is a breakdown of the night’s events:

  • Total High School Students: 20
  • Total Middle School Students: 43
  • Total Visitors: 15 
  • Grand Total of all Students: 78
  • College Students: 2
  • Total Adults: 28
  • Grand Total of all People: 108 (106 at Café AMPED + Chuck Culwell and Brooks Howard helping clean up)
  • Salvations (that I am aware of): 1

Update on Teddy Bears

I know many of you have already purchased your teddy bears in advance for tonight’s party; however, with tonight being canceled, I’m sure you’re wondering, “What am I going to do with this teddy bear now?”

Here is the answer:

Bring it this Sunday and place it in the plastic tub inside of E6 near the kitchen and we will get to the right people for distribution.


Christmas Party for Tonight is Cancelled

Due to the schools cancelling classes today because of the weather, AMPED and tonight’s Christmas Party is cancelled.

If school is cancelled tomorrow due to the weather then tomorrow night will be cancelled as well.  Watch your email, YouthGlue, and here for info.

Special Missions Opportunity!

Please bring a new, cuddly teddy bear to donate to the Clarksville & Hopkinsville Police Departments! This will be your gift to someone in need this Christmas. Bears are given to children in dangerous or fearful situations such as domestic calls or fires.
